The Behavioral Health Program is a specialized program providing culturally and linguistically responsive English and Spanish outpatient mental health and substance use services to underserved populations. Our goal is to support a thriving community in which all members have the opportunities and support to achieve self-sufficiency and lead a healthy quality of life. Behavioral Health staff recognize the broader social, economic, and political factors that underlie issues experienced by people that have been incarcerated or are suffering from addiction.
Behavioral Health services include:
Individual, and Group Therapy: Services are available for individuals that have recently been incarcerated in the Denver County jails and are returning to live in the Denver County area. Our program serves individuals who are uninsured, have Medicaid, Medicare, or CHP+, Victim’s Compensation recipients or self-pay. Our clinicians have experience providing treatment for Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders, Trauma and Stressor-Related Disorders and Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders. During the initial session, the therapist will conduct a formal assessment and begin developing a treatment plan with the collaboration of each client. Length of treatment is based on the therapeutic needs of each individual.
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment and Prevention: Level I Outpatient treatment services are offered for individuals experiencing substance use issues. SUD services include bilingual individual and group counseling. Relapse Prevention and substance use support groups will be offered to provide our clients with a safe and comfortable setting to discuss challenges, practice new skills and to connect with others experiencing similar barriers.
Level I & II DUI Education and Therapy: Level I & II Education and Therapy services are offered to individuals who have been charged with a DWAI/DUI and are in need of treatment services. Our program uses The Change Companies’ curricula to meet with OBH state requirements and provide effective treatment to our clients. We offer services for Track A, B, C, & D. Groups are offered in the evening and facilitated in English and Spanish.
